Spain doing pretty good in this

  1. I haven’t traveled much and only been to Madrid in Spain but in my opinion Madrid has incredibly good public transportation. I’ve been thinking about moving out of Spain and I always think about how much I would miss the metro.

  2. I think it’s essentially due to high population density. People live packed together so there are a lot needing transport, plus nowhere to park cars, so good public transport is essential.

  3. This is bullshit, I’m Colombian and I have been and lived in many countries and Medellín’s mean of transportation are far from European cities

  4. Commute time is “travel” time right? Why are these people waiting 10 mins yo have 5 mins rides. Makes no sense. Also most jobs are on the outskirts so taking public transport will take you 2 hours. It takes 12 mins to get to work in my car why would i waste so much time to get to work and back?

  5. Puedo asegurar:

  6. As someone living in Bilbao, public transport for this city is absurdly good.

Generally, you can walk across the city in 30 minutes, but if you don’t feel like it, there are buses, a tram, a metro, and very cheap city bikes to borrow. As a bonus, the metro goes all the way up the left and right banks of the esturary, so the suburbs are connected too. Also, Euskotren connects all the major gipuzkoa and bizkaia towns to Bilbao, Donosti, and into Hendaia, France. Generally all of these modes of transport are very very cheap too. The metro is roughly 80cents per ride.

  7. Public transport in the big cities in Spain is generally pretty good.

Outside the big cities, not so much. 1 bus a day going out, leaves 10.53 to arrive at 12.17. 1 coming back, leaves 12.52 to arrive 16.12. Bit pointless. (numbers invented, but not far off reality).

  8. Lol shit graph, doesnt even take efficient cities in them to make Spain look beter. Where’s Amsterdam, Copenhagen, Antwerp etc

  9. El transporte público en España solo va bien en y entre áreas muy pobladas. En la España vaciada ni está ni se le espera.
