Until when is it valid?
OK, but wait when you are going to be sick, you mind could be change ti the opposite, like with my mother. Many years at Exit member, and died fully paralysed and took 10 years to die.
>Switzerland: The Land Of Dignity.
Surely a thing we should try to be.
If this was a less sensitive topic, I would’ve probably already gone off about how we are not that in so many ways.
“The land of dignity”
You spelled dignitas wrong
What’s an exit card?
That wasn’t probably an easy step to take. I hope you’ll never need their help though. But I agree with this, if any unnecessary suffering can be avoided or can be shortened…it’s a good thing.
Good for you!
Didn’t know there is a membership. Do they provide their service only to members or is it similar to Rega membership, where everybody gets helped, but you don’t have to pay if you are a member?
>We’re Switzerland: The Land Of Dignity
If this is true, shouldn’t you have a Dignitas card?
Let’s hope you’ll never have to use it. Good job though.
I spoke to an acquaintance yesterday whose mom passed through exit. We talked about it, she is also a member. I am also considering it. Well done!
Is there a family plan?
Or a discount? Like… bring 3 friends, get your membership for free.

Sorry for your recen loss.
Can you collect loyalty points?
I didn’t know there was a membership, will consider one now.
After having worked in Radio Oncology in the past I think it‘s one of the most important institutions we have. Everyone who is terminal should have the option to end their lives on their own will and with dignity. Anyone who wants to prohibit this is a sick pervert.
I am so sorry for your losses <3
And thank you for sharing. I will become a member as well now. You never know where life takes you and tha ability to chose when to end it is an amazing thing.
All the best <3
Got my card recently too, I plan to die on my own terms the moment i decide i no longer have the physical and mental capabilities to enjoy life
congrats! my father chose to Exit after a fatal cancer diagnosis. I have so much respect for his decision to die with dignity and i plan to get my membership in a couple of years as well.
Does the service work without a membership? If someone just wants it now.
What’s the exit card for? I’ve never seen and heard of it until now
Do you need to be a swiss citizen?
I became a member when I was diagnosed with cancer. Thankfully, it looks like I won’t be checking out any time soon but if and when I do, it will be on my own terms.
It’s valid until you *exit* existence
Huh I didn’t know u have to be a member. Just signed up for it, thanks!
I’m Irish and dealing with appalling health and really want to join. Must one be a Swiss national in order to so do or have they a webbed site?
That’s a good thing.
I allways thought it’s strange, that animals get euthanized as soon as it’s certain that there is no hope and that humans have to suffer as long as possible for something what feels like a doctors version of a dick measuring contest about, how long they can hold a terminal ill human alive.
I am actually also considering this. I am only just over 30 and I know that my life will be harder when I reach retirement age. I don’t want to die suffering even more as I am suffering since 25 years now. I hope I can die normally but the second I get additional medical issues I am out. That much suffering can’t be god given
