Imagine a financially struggling family being able to buy a couple of items here and there rather than all at once. So they can at least put food on the table and make a nice day of it.

I’m split on shops selling Christmas stuff early.
I love mince pies, and I’m happy that they aren’t available year round, it makes them a treat when they are available. Pretty sure that if they were available all the time then their “treat” status would disappear, for me at least.
Used to work for Aldi. They do this for 2 reasons. 1, because people (more than you’d think) start buying Xmas stuff pretty early. And 2, because people love to act shocked at how early Xmas stuff is on sale, and they make it a point of conversation with people. Easy advertising.

For those loving Christmas, the Range have their Christmas decorations up & the Arboreteum in Carlow have quite a selection at the moment too. Great time of year.
Bloody hell! Christmas is starting earlier every year, Christmas puddings for Christmas 2023 on sale already!?
