Obesity and our bulging waistlines are killing us, if we continue ignoring it, it will kill the country, says Mark Dolan

  1. So it’s an attack on obese people because they need to eat cheap food because they have low wages. Yet the rich continue to get richer and can dine on caviar with no repercussions because they have money.

  2. It’s really not that difficult to eat less and move more. We don’t need the government to wipe our arses on this, people just need to exercise some self control.

  3. Simple ban refined sugar, but then you wouldn’t get coronary artery disease or type 2 diabetes or many cancers and teeth would be healthy. Oh no wait big pharma needs us to eat sugar and additives so we get sick and they can treat us for 10+ years

  4. “Information is the problem.”

    So ban advertising junk food.

I think food regulations need to suppress bad food.

I also don’t think the “fat acceptance” media works. I don’t think people look at the images and think that’s a good idea.

  5. He’s not wrong. But coming from the guy who struggled to cut up a face mask because he thought COVID was fear mongering, it’s a bit rich to be talking about health issues.

  6. Why should i listen to the person who used to present Balls of Steel? Is he known for anything else other than that program? Is he now meant to be the UK version of Tucker Carlson??

  7. It’s an extreme measure I guess due to curtailing freedom of choice but who will really suffer if we banned processed food?

  8. He’s not wrong though, is he? I lost tons of weight (was 28stone, now under 18stone) and I’ve felt better, can do more, and it seems a lot harder for me to get sick.
