  1. Hey. i have a friend who’s out travelling now. She’s staying in an apartment, and she sent me images of a suspicious looking device in the roof of her bedroom. I can’t remember if I’ve seen something similar before, so I thought I could ask here. I am norwegian, but I’m not able to pinpoint what this device actually is lol.

  2. The motion sensor turns on the lights and after a set amount of time it turns them off again until the next trigger. Had similar ones in an apartment complex.

  4. If you are talking about the black little dot clearly visible in picture 2. Just get closer or open it up and youll easily find out :p

  5. No. It is a Silicon-based life-form which main food-source is electrons. What you see is one of the eyes of this life form growing inside your house.

Nothing to worry about. This is a friendly guardian silicon-species. Harmless. Just make sure you feed it daily electrons and stimulate it with motion-based entertainment you’ll grow to enjoy it’s company.

  6. Looks like a motion detector. Could you use it to disguise a camera? 100%. Only way to see is to check it’s wiring. To my knowledge most mini cameras avaliable to market at reasonable pricing needs a ethernet cable with power over ethernet capabilities.

  7. It’s a device that detects your movement so that it will automatically turn on the lights for you, the lights will automatically turn off about 5 minutes after no movement is detected

  8. That’s a motion sensor (a IR detector, to be precise), and they’re fairly common in buildings with focus on ENØK (energy efficiency/economy).

  9. It is not, this is called a PIR sensor. (Passive infra red sensor)
It basicly sees heat signatures and sends a signal if a heat signature moves from one zone to another. The zones are the small spots in the lens. Idk why its red
