I just moved into a new flat. Internet is supplied but I have to buy my own router. When moving in the landlord pointed at [this](https://ibb.co/KWHFcdX) outlet when mentioning the router. My question is, what kind of router / cable would I need to purchase? Would any router and an ethernet cable suffice?
I tried reading online and on this sub but the fritzbox/ dsl cable etc. made me get lost. Please help.

It appears to be a standard RJ45 jack, so chances are it’s ethernet. You can confirm by plugging your computer directly in if you have an Ethernet port on your laptop. If you get a link and internet access then you can simply use any wifi router without an integrated DSL or cable modem.
You should be able to just plug a [router](https://amzn.eu/d/grmXEuA) into the port on the right.
