  1. I’ve visited a few weeks ago and was surprised how common it is. Looked it up and Netherlands is one of the larger markets for Rivella. Cranberry flavour Rivella was delicious, Ananas was not my fav.

  2. I lived in the Netherlands just when they started marketing Rivella there (like 80ies) The slogan was ‘beetje vreemd maar wel lekker’ – a little weird but pretty tasty

  3. When I was a kid growing up in The Netherlands, my grandparents always had it as a drink for the kids. Just the regular red or blue bottle though. That was in the 70’s and 80’s.

  4. i had a cousin from luxemburg ask me why we had luxemburgish drinks too. it’s marketed as a local thing there. the worst thing is, it’s not even made in switzerland, the water is french

  5. Yes, you can find Rivella in most grocery stores here in the NL, but the taste may be different than the original one in Switzerland. At least, I and my wife think so.

  6. I’ve once drank Rivella in the Netherlands and it tasted horribly.
To be more precise, it tasted like nothing to me, because people in the Netherlands prefer subtle taste/more watered down drinks. It’s not as strong in flavour as it is in Switzerland. Imagine Swiss Rivella but watered down 10 times.

  7. I‘m pretty sure, the Rivella blue was invented in the Netherlands as one of the first „diet“ soft drinks in europe.

  8. Ja! I’m from the Netherlands and it’s really popular here. I really want to move to Switzerland in the future. We have all sorts of different flavours. Rivella Red in Switzerland is actually the blue colour in the Netherlands it’s a lighter version and contains very few calories. we have rivella original(blue), cranberry(red), pineapple(yellow) and raspberry(pink)! 😀 please feel free to try them all I’m really interested to know if you like the flavours ❤️

I’ve tried Rivella Red in Switzerland and absolutely loved it 🥰

  9. Second biggest market for Rivella. Bottled in the Netherlands and different recepies. Most popular is blue which us called light up there. Some dutch think “neat” Rivella exists in Switzerland as well…
