Police took 20 hours to attend family home of missing Owami Davies

  1. 3 days minimum here , that is of course IF they actually turn up.

With that said, isn’t there a realistic time frame for them to ‘attend’ a missing persons call and by,
that I mean they’re not going to turn up sirens screeching cos Iittle Johnny is 10 minutes late back from the shop.

  2. Always have to make it about race…honestly beyond me.

A black guy came up to me yesterday to ask the time & I was in a rush… I said I’m sorry I’ve got nothing on me… to tell the time with (no phone/watch) & before I could follow up with that he said “what you think im gonna mug you”.

Yet when people who are non-white commit a crime the media reacts like it’s not possible and don’t bring up race at all?

  3. Police sergeant here, I literally sit at work all day every day looking at a list of calls for service which I have no units to attend. I would be curious to know what the average response time for a missing person report is, and if this one differed significantly – I don’t work for the Met but 20 hours would seem to be about standard in my area.
