I feel so sorry for his mother, Winnie Johnson. Dedicated her life going to the moors trying to find his body, and died without any closure. So morbid, but I hope she receives some peace in death. God willing they do find humans remains that are proved to be Keith’s.
So either this is Keith or it’s another child that was murdered and buried up there? Yeah, hopefully it’s the former and his remaining family can be at peace.
I really don’t have much interest in serial killers but there’s something so unnerving and intriguing about Brady and Hindley – their proximity to where I grew up (long after they’d been caught), being active at a time when the rest of the country was starting to move into the Swinging Sixties and a decade of optimism, the relative innocence of the times that made it easier for them to approach children. Their evil seems so at odds with the image most of us have of the 60s.
Gosh I can’t believe he’d be 70 years old now. He is forever a little boy because of those monsters.
I hope this is him, so he can finally be laid to rest respectfully, and his brother can have closure. It’s so heartbreaking that his mother never got that.
And a great big fuck you to Ian Brady. Wasn’t the “perfect murder” you wanted after all you sadistic fuck.
I hope it’s him but far too late for his poor mum. I don’t know what else to say, just hope it was very painful for the pair of them in death, especially the torture I hope Brady suffered. And then I can just hope there is some form of justice after death, as it’s clear this family got none.
Watched a couple of documentaries and interviews featuring his mother Winnie, always broke my heart that she never found her son. I hope for her and her family’s sake some good news comes from this search. It’s about time Keith was laid to rest.
