If people only realise now then i wonder what the money (or lack of) in our schools is going to
Not sure the satire tag is appropriate on this one.
What happens when Senile, dribbling idiots choose a new PM.
The only upside to this is atleast the headlines give me a chuckle
No surprise there. I mean, she was the bottom of the barrel of a party of crazy people.
Will we ever have a day where we have honest, normal politicians? Genuine question.
This Country is a train wreck at the minute.
Screaming monkeys batshit mental insane. With a cherry on top.
“But at least she’s not brown!”
– The tory membership who voted her in.
If we’re honest, that is the first, middle and last reason she beat Sunak.
We use our worthless pound notes to heat our fireplaces for the Winter
>realises Britain
I think Britain already knew that. We didn’t vote her in. Britain isn’t the Tory Party!
To be fair, I thought Liz Truss was undoubtedly the best candidate for the Tory leadership, at least as far as Labour were concerned anyway.
I had no idea, however, that she would be quite this impressive quite this quickly… (!).
If it hadn’t been for the Queen’s funeral, she could have ballsed it all up even quicker than she already has.
What a complete cluster****.
I think she’s more daft than insane but the result is the same
Have to give credit to Dominic Cummings for one thing…he identified her as “properly crackers” a long while back.
People are only just realising that? It has been clear for years that she is out of her depth, even the run-up to the leadership contest showed her to be a weaker version of Thatcher who had no real idea what she was doing in any meaningful sense. People who are only just waking up to the fact that she is a poor choice for PM have not been paying attention to her (or the Tory party as a whole) for several years then.
I don’t want to seem alarmist but, given that we might be on the brink of WW3 with Russia – are we absolutely positively sure we have the right people running the country right now?
She’s not insane. She’s stupid.
She bleated what seemed to make her people clap. Then reality slapped back the moment she made her stupid ideas policy.
Policies so stupid they make you wonder if they’re conspiring to crash the economy on purpose.
Once again the news is parody and TDM is factually accurate.
I’m SO worried that they’ll get rid of her because whoever is next is going to be infinitely better and just by comparison will make the tories look better.
Then people might not vote them out.
I’d like to be a fly on the wall in her weekly audience with the new king. Somehow I think Charles may not have the restraint the Queen had, nor the presence of a nice old lady.
What was the reason she suddenly overtook Rishy?
Was it purely that he was rich?
This isn’t satire, this is reality.
Satire would be:
“At first, when the bond market collapsed and my mortgage doubled in price, alongside the dramatic increases in fuel as well as all the other inflation, I thought – ‘you know what, I’m not sure that uncosted tax cuts for the rich is a good idea!”.
But having listened to Liz on the radio, and her clear and calm style of ignoring all reasonable questions in order to parrot back moronic one dimensional talking points, I’m actually already feeling a lot better! So what if the markets have collapse?!
I think we just have to suck it up, and struggle through.
We might end up on the street, but I’m sure we’ll experience that trickle down on our heads at some point!
The sad thing is that, as a staunch left winger this was exactly the situation I laughingly predicted back in the early days of the leadership battle. Unfortunately the punchline has been watching our country circle the drain.
Just remember, like Borris, we never got a vote in her rise to power.
QEII made her feelings very clear after meeting Truss.
She’s a puppet working for big business. She does what she’s told.
What’s with the ridiculous rishi revisionist history. People actually think that guy would “be good for the economy”. Despite the fact he’s had the opportunity to address it for the last 5 years and done fuck all. Let’s not forget “eat out to help out”.
He’s smarter than liz but so are most people. Truss is so openly stupid she’ll be booted out in no time and we can finally get rid of the tories
Hey England, you ready to stop voting Tory yet or is there something left that you haven’t yet sacrificed in the name of whatever the fuck the last 12 years has been.
So when do we get Boris back? Ya know because that’s why Liz was voted in anyway so they could put Boris back in and save Xmas
We realised that BEFORE we didn’t get to vote for her.
The shadow chancellor has set out a five-point growth package including slashing VAT to 5% and a one-year small firms national insurance tax holiday.
He also reaffirmed previous proposals to reverse January’s VAT rise from 17.5% to 20% and promised a repeat of this year’s bankers’ bonus tax, using the money to guarantee 100,000 jobs for young people and building 25,000 affordable homes.
He also said the government should bring forward genuine long-term investment projects covering schools roads and transports, but did not put a figure on this.
There was no costing for his overall proposals.
Sound familiar?
Ed Balls, Labour Party Conference 2011
As soon as all the candidates were announced I thought any one but Truss….fuck sake
As much as people blasted Sunak I feel like he wouldnt have been as brutal here…
“I thought she was just really stupid.” – Tory voters
