It’s only vaguely alluded to in the article — noting two US lawmakers who are Armenian — but in California there is a very powerful, very wealthy Armenian constituency. It’s not a coincidence that Speaker Pelosi (D-CA) was the one that paid a visit.
I’ve noticed a lot of Armenia Good / Azerbaijan Bad stories recently. Funny how they started as soon as the US decided which side it was going to take – especially as it follows the EU announcement to extend the Southern Gas Corridor from Azerbaijan.
