The fact that a crazy conspiracy theorist runs Russia says a lot about the country itself. Sure, some people (maybe most of them) have beliefs not based on science or logic, including politicians. But they either hide that or at least can’t do shit because checks and balances stop them.
“The Anglo saxans want to enslave everyone and turn our children into LGBTQ people” was something I never expected a superpower’s president to say.
