Apologies if this isn’t welcome here, but I’m really proud to present the latest musical venture from The Hanging Bandits. Austerity & Other Dreams was a couple of years in the making and was written under 3 conservative leaders, Theresa May, Boris Johnson and now Liz Truss. We are very lucky to know some people in the XR communities, unions, plus have attended our local Enough is Enough rally. Hopefully things will start changing soon! We in the group found it hilarious how they keep managing to change our collective vocabulary while spiralling our economy out of control and regularly make jokes about wanting austerity back…cos that’s when life was good(ish)? If you feel the same or are simply pissed off with the current state of things in the UK I hope you can find some solace in this that you are not alone. It feels so hard to be openly socialist or left wing in our day to day (the queen dying made me hyper aware of this) so this is how we four young guys express ourselves. Not trying to hate on anyone else’s views, just want to see the end of poverty, food poverty and homelessness in the UK, one of the richest countries in the western world….
