Finally. It took long enough to get everyone but Apple onto the USB standards, I’m honestly tired of the anti-consumerism. (plus my entire family are apple, sucks not being able to borrow or lend cables)
I agree with the article author that this could potentially benefit Apple more than hurt them. There are two reasons I’ve never used their devices; one is cabling logistics (the other is that I’m long-since a *nix/win power user). This isn’t enough to prompt me to use their products, but may well do for others who are not devs (I refuse to buy a developer license from Apple while Google does not require one)
Good for the environment and would save billions
Amazing achievement by the EU lawmakers. This will bring such amazing value to consumers, well worth the thousands of man hours spent on this single issue👏
