Even if there were legit elections in those regions supervised by the world least corrupt liberal democracies and was deemed flawless and uncorrupted, neither country will accept the result it doesn’t want so this is a moot point.

His suggestion to do a LEGIT poll for people of Ukraine is absurd. You shouldn’t vote on these things especially when they are forced. I implore everyone to look into how Ukraine came to have Crimea to begin with. It was a part of Russian territories from 1783 to 1954, when an Ukrainian president named Nikita Kruhscev gave it to Ukraine. Crimea is still majority Russian (to my knowledge).
I have recently found this out and am absolutely shocked it wasn’t mentioned in any shape or form in any media in the last two years.
Yeah there wasn’t any case of unilateral declaration of independence following a military operation (that wasn’t approved by UN) in the Europe…
