There’s a cat whose daily routine takes him by my house every day, for the last six months or so.
He’s always been ultra distant. Wasn’t letting anyone within a few feet of him. Eventually, He let my mother a bit closer, but would always run if I tried, and we figured it felt like he’d had a bad time with guys before, or something. He always tried to have a wall or a corner between me and him.
And then, yesterday, I walked outside and he was there, and he lay down and started rolling round, and let me sit down beside him. And pet him. And play with him. I’ve always been nervous with animals tbh, but he just was ultra playful all of a sudden. Felt like months of work trying to befriend him paid off 😂
Anyway, I’ve not really had a chance to talk about that since it happened and this is the first cat thread I’ve seen so, yeah, this has been my Ted talk.
