TLDR: without pain you can’t create great poetry
then he names some examples of poets like Baudelaire and quotes Dostoevsky that said something along the lines of the TLDR.
“I think, without pain good poetry is not possible.
All great poets were broken-hearted people.
Look at Baudelaire, look at Hölderlin, look at Trakl,
Up until our own (Greek poets), our current ones, look at Eggonopoulos.
I remember reading somewhere, that Dostoyevsky, when old, got visited by a young Merezhkovsky that showed him his writings, to get an opinion if they are good or not. Dostoyevsky saw them and didn’t answer, he only said to him: you must suffer ( be in pain) to write well. You must suffer. “
Kinda out of context but speaking of Sahtouris, I absolutely recommend the song [Homage to Miltos Sahtouris by Regressverbot](https://youtu.be/Gpu1wl4hnXU). It’s minimal synth and has a background of him reciting a poem (WITH translation on the description) and is a great journey especially if you like that kind of music.
