I’m making a school project about water and looking for places where could I find visually interesting water in Finland. Like, coloured, maybe rich in iron, red or turquoise, like on this picture from Kiikunlähde (also is it really like this, does anyone know?). Any advice highly appreciated! kiitos

You can find shit color in Kymijoki!
i don’t drive, so anything accessible (and legally accessible too) from Helsinki, would be amazing, although I don’t mind a bit of a trip
There’s Kiikunlähde, near Lahti. I went there in the winter a couple of years ago and it was really beautiful, bright turquoise water.
The notorious Littoisten järvi
Sääksjärvi in Nurmijärvi (the municipality) has the clearest water I’ve personally ever seen in Finland. Most Finnish lakes are brown and the water looks “dirty”. Used to go swimming there as a kid.
Look through mines and quarries of finland . U will often find water near these cam have different colouration due to Ritch amounts of certain things within the stuff that is mined.
Kiikunlähde is stunning! Visited it a few years back one summer evening – bad idea, literal millions of mosquitoes! The water and the scenery was incredible anyways from what i can remember its quite remote although that could purely be because I came from the Kurhila direction and used dirt roads etc to get there.
Thanks for the advice everyone! I have visited Kiikunlähde and it has turquoise waters indeed! I have also been to the area near the abandoned Orijärvi mine, the turquoise waters check box is now marked!
