>Light bars are like running with a parachute! Integrating lights into the car cabin does not affect our drag coefficiency and requires no holes to be drilled into the roof which has a negative affect on the cars residual values.
What’s that on the roof?
How will they deal with the spontaneous combustion and server outage lockouts?
Dam these things are so quick and really good at cornering even in the wet 😬, outruning them even in a really fast ice car is almost impossible.
>Brakes wear has been minimal, after 10,000 miles of driving the first set of pads still had 15-20% use still in them. Tires are the same as I.C.Es and need replacing at around 8,000 miles.
Granted I don’t drive like a copper (because I would rightly lose my licence) but I get at least 20-25k out of a set of break pads and the same for 25k+ out of really cheap tyres.
I certainly don’t change either every six months and I do a lot of non motorway driving in the UK. That’s terrifying!
Christ, I got over 60k out of a set of Michelin Mud Terrains driving to Cape Town and back once and they still passed an MOT when I returned.
Police and other emergency services will be forced to move to electric soon anyway so it’s good they are getting ahead of this.
