If only the pound was worth more, they’d all be off to Prague or another EU city.
Used to live in York and I’m actually shocked at this being rejected. Probably because the business owners want some of the action but locals used to complain over York at the weekends because it just became a boozy Stag/Hen paradise. You would go to your local and over the weekend not get a seat.
Other cities go through this too of course
mrs moj had a school reunion in July, and I was dragged to York for a long weekend. The number of proper boozy dozen plus stag/hen groups, staggering around even at midday, was astonishing.
Who can afford to have stag or hen parties anymore anyway?
