Britain has very few things to apologize for because it was rarely in the wrong in black and white sense
~~We could repay them by helping the situation in the North, unfourtunately their president doesn’t want our help and thus we can only give their militairy training~~
I remember a month ago this news on r/Portugal, and the comments were just bad. People kept calling him an opportunist and that there was no reason to be saying it *now,* whatever they meant by it. But the sub hates Costa/PS and has very active right-wing people, who seem to not want to reflect upon our very recent colonial past. No a very active post though, otherwise.
But finally a public figure talked openly about it, and that’s positive. Our war-crimes in Africa are barely ever on the news.
