Why is the commissioner for competition making statements about security?
I don’t think she is wrong with us needing to up or defence, but aren’t commissioners supposed to stay in their lane?
No mention by her of the bullshit Apple case she pushed, and lost, to tarnish Ireland’s reputation and her politically motivated appeal which is doomed to failure? No? Fuck off there Margrethe like a good woman…

He is right. As an Irishman, I have grown to realise that Irelands current existing policy and edition of ” neutrality” is no longer sustainable. A stronger Army and much enlarged Navy with more modern powerful arms must be put in place along with a viable airforce. Being at least able to defend our own territory is 100% the basic level required. Its not acceptable to hide under the UK’s skirts anymore, especially after Brexit has proved England cannot be considered a reliable partner in future.
Pretty sure the Russian military have been documented sniffing around undersea cables off the west coast?
Cutting them with a drone sub wouldnt be out of the realm of possiblity
It’s ironic for them to be saying that when they just had pipelines in their own waters sabotaged under their noses. At the same time though, it’ll be great craic watching the likes of richard boyd barret having a fit about NATO expansionism and neutrality.
