  1. Find out what details were shared with the TV license inspector before making any rash decisions.

If this is not an option then add all of your possessions to the local Halloween bonfire.

  2. Its the law…pay it.

Just because it’s a viral thing that people don’t pay the tv licence…doesn’t mean you don’t have to.

Grow up, pay your bills and move on.

  3. I once did this but yer man got.my name slightly wrong and lo and behold l a few weeks later I got a registered letter addressed to the slightly wrongly named me. Musta been a court summons. I ignored cos we moved out a few weeks later anyway.

  4. Housemate should be kicked out for such stupidity, Everyone knows not to answer the door to strangers. Especially the tv licence inspector.

  5. Just dont do anything, ignore it all. I ended up speaking to the bustards on accident, gave me that letter thing and all. Been like 3 months now and they haven’t done nothing

  6. Years ago when I was a renter I used to tell the inspector if they called that I had just moved in this week and could he possibly give me a few weeks to sort myself out, they always agreed to call back in a few weeks but never show up, then maybe a year later a different inspector would show up, use the same story and hope for the best, granted that was in the 90s so I’m sure there’s a different system in place now, I’m sure it’s much harder to get away with it these days, I did start buying licenses when I became a homeowner, lol my revolutionary spirit was crushed when signing for my mortgage
