Hello everyone,
A friend of mine and I are going to visit Hradec Králové to attend the Rock for People festival for a few days. We will either drive by car or use public transportation if there is any available. We both come from Germany.
I couldn’t really decipher if the festival has a campground or anything where you can set up a tent and spend the night from the [website](https://rockforpeople.cz/en/#content) so if you know anything about that it would be nice to know.
If there isn’t should we get a motel or anything like that in Hradec Králové?
Lastly I want to know if you have any recommendations regarding food and places. What should we check out whenever we are not at the festival? Are there any mannerisms/gestures we should do/avoid when talking to anyone? Please let me know.
We both look forward to visiting your country and will hopefully have a great time! Much love!

Never attended personally, but my friend and brother did. There is definitely campground for tents, so that’s not a problem. Should be everything with toilets, showers etc.
Hi, I’m glad you’re going to RFP, it’s a festival with a very special atmosphere 🙂
Getting there by public transport is easy. Just take a train from Prague to Hradec Králové for around 6 EUR. There are free shuttle buses going from the train station all the way to the festival area.
The festival has camping grounds including all the necessities but you will need to buy a separate ticket. The camp tickets are not up for sale yet, but they will be later on.
If you want to eat in the center, I can recommend these restaurants:
NãPLAVKA (hip place)
U Kobyly (best beer)
Dhaba Beas (quick vegetarian)
Cook&Look (good pasta)
As far as sightseeing goes, I would just take a walk around the center, it’s not a huge town. Maybe start at Velké náměstí, then check out Muzeum Východních Čech and finish off by walking along the Elbe towards Jiráskovy sady.
You don’t have to avoid any gestures, people are chill. Feel free to just enjoy yourselves 😀
I would recomend to watch some youtube videos from Rock for people so you know how it looks like and what would like to have.
I would recommend goood matress to sleep because i had cheap and it was long night cause of terrain.
Everything was there. Showers, toilets, food.
Maybe get yourself some watter cause of price and also because after alcohol its nice to have cold watter from ground.
Also i had some food and deffinetly suncream and painnkillers for your headache from drinking and sun.
There was also bus that can get you back to town but was almost always full. Taxi works there too.
Festival was good there was lots of to do. Lots of companies flex there with something extra like projecting movies, pool, made up sand beach with table football and more.
