It is rather shocking to see such assumed essential services being steadily shuttered down.
They should ask Devon & Cornwall Police how that worked out when they did the same thing a few years back.
Spoiler Alert: All Public Enquiry Offices are currently being re-opened because 101 can no longer handle the volumes (avg wait time of around an hour). That led to serious incidents getting missed as people tried to report 999 matters to 101 and victims or people with MH issues couldn’t attend the police stations.
