So this the charity commission investigates Mermaids under ‘Safeguarding’ for providing binders to teens without parental consent ( I’m not aware parental consent is needed to buy such things as they’re not age restricted), but it’s taking a court case for them to review the LGB alliance which hasn’t actually done anything for LGB people and took a bunch of money to ‘look into’ a helpline…

Reading further into this, this is also some aggressive spin from the BBC. This is a compliance check caused by a complaint from the Telegraph and not an investigation at all.
