Where is Liz Truss? Our prime minister has gone missing

  1. I bet she’ll turn up in Ukraine in a few days in the hope this will all blow over. The Boris special.

  2. Probably for the best. If the rest of the party and their sycophantic apologists could fuck off too it would benefit the whole country.

  3. Well people would ask her how she’s going to fund her mini budget. If she borrows it, the markets will lose even more confidence. If she announces budget cuts (freezes on public sector spending and pensions anyone?) then the backlash may be enough to kick her out of office.

  4. Two theories:

    1) She has realised the job is not easy and she is way out of her depth. She is hiding because she is already on the edge of a breakdown and realises the writing is already on the wall after two weeks in the job.

    2) She is deliberately being kept away by those who manoeuvred her into the job so she cannot reverse her mini-budget in response to the crisis. This means they are free to short the pound and make a profit off this disaster.

  5. She showed her gutlessness when she called off a TV appearance during the leadership election. Basically to cowardly to face difficult questions. And *boy* are there some difficult questions for her.

  6. She’s probably done a Boris manoeuvre, into hiding for a few days, hoping the dust will settle. Her next step will be to try an privatise the NHS. Boris couldn’t do it, coz he promised Corbyn that he wouldn’t and shook hands on it, but she hasn’t and Boris will be encouraging her to go for it, from behind the curtain. That just my thoughts on what’s probably going to happen soon.

  7. I recon she’s got lost trying to find a toilet in no.10, they’ll find her in cupboard under the stairs next week, hugging a dyson

  8. I hope she’s in Italy meeting with the new right-wing government there, simply so we can forever know her as ‘Trussolini’

  9. Do people even realise how close half the country came to losing their pensions today? That’s why the BoE had to step in. Yet its nothing to do with the mini-budget???? Seriously just when you think it can’t get any worse. Ah that’s right mortgage is up for renewal next year and with fuel costs, I am looking at the real prospect of being £1k worse off a month by someone I didn’t vote for or have a chance to vote for. Fuck this government.
