OECD: Ireland must reallocate road space, promote buses, rental bikes and e-bikes

  1. The current ballincollig objections to a cycle path are beyond bizarre. It’s properly twilight zone.

Saying cycle lanes cause anti social behaviour and that they damage the fabric of the community. Like…what?

  2. They need to take a lot of these decisions away from the local councils.Get a plan in place across the country and implement it.

A few backwards cunts will scream and roar about a decision and when it’s done locally the councils will back down.

Likes of Lucan and Ballincollig are recent cases of good plans getting scrapped for no good reason.

  3. What pisses me off is when there is fully segregated cycle lanes and people are on the road with bikes or scooters instead. I have no issues with bike lanes, but not using them is a dick move

  4. A good start to reallocation of road space would be to effectively and continually police the existing bus lanes. Strip the abusers bare and make them walk a few miles personally apologising to every normal/considerate driver stuck in the queue they just jumped.
