They both served eight years before being freed on licence with lifelong anonymity, before Venables was put back behind bars for the possession of child sex abuse images in 2010.
He was released just three years later with yet another new identity but was soon back in prison after nearly 1,200 child sex abuse images were found on his laptop in 2017.

I only became aware today that Ana’s father passed away earlier this year. A tragic situation for her family.

They perpetrated the most hideous and grotesque act of inhumanity against that child and in doing so stole all the might have been from Anna and her parents. What possible appeal could you lodge to somehow justify what happened. Justice must be seen to be served.
