  1. Only for the new bridge brought traffic near – you would never know it’s there, it was idle for a long time, I’d say mid-90s was the first time I was there and it was probably salvageable then, it’s a mad spot mostly because of the position of the building.

    There’s the old spicers mill about 800m upstream on the opposite bank too, it’s probably in a worse state than here though, it’s absolutely massive like fecking gigantic!

    Always thought it was a shame to see them in such a state! Before we had Navan Carpets and the furniture manufacturers – locally these Mills were the place everyone got their first job, huge employment came from these places, and I don’t think it’s much of a stretch to say that these mills were probably the reason the town developed.
