This is my first time, and I found that every water switch has these two buttons on it. Who can tell me what the function of these two buttons is?

The one on the handle let’s you turn on properly hot water. It limits how hot you turn it so you don’t accidentally burn yourself
The one on the bottom is likely the tap to turn off the water to the dishwasher.
Button 1 is supposed to be limiting the heat of the water before it turns into higher temperatures which can hurt your hands. ^((This function is flawed in some cases where the heating system simply can’t heat up the water hot enough or it’s installed badly.))
Button 2 is valve for extra water outlet under/near the sink, it’s made for dishwasher intake.
Button 1 may also limit water pressure in some models.
Other one is microphobe switch how government spies on you, the other is gain level for the mic.
Button 1 starts the reactor, button 2 launches the missiles. Don’t press them in the wrong order
Screen shot. Press them at the same time to take a screen shot.
While limiting temperature might be the intended function I’ve never lived in a house where the top button has done anything other than increase the maximum water pressure allowed out. (For context I have lived in 27 different houses/apartments. Not all had the button but most did. Mostly cheap rent apartments)
Button 1 unleashes the full potential of the faucet
Do you happen to live in Hoas
While lifting the upper lever, pushing the grey button lets you have max water flow.
Button 1 goes brrrrrrr
Button 2 opens the gate
U can morse code to the Gods from the depths using these, the signal travels very well in the pipes and water to their (presumed?) location in the depths of the ocean. If u can morse code properly u can save in ur heating bills.
I am saying this before reading ANY comments.
The answer will be logical and as soon as I read the comments I will say out loud “Of course, the Finns are so freaking logical!”
Button 2 is to turn on/off water to the dishwasher (or some other appliance connected to water). It is OFF when it’s pointing up (usually)
Button 1 to go Full Saiyan and Button 2 for Dishwasher.
If your ssecond button seemingly does nothing, check that in the cabinet it does not leak. Had this when renting from vvo/lumo and they just had the reservation to put in a diswasher(like they would) but the plumming was so shady that opening that second valve meant water damage in the cabinet below.
The button on top is the safety removal allowing getting dangerously hot water by bypassing the physical limiter.
The knob on bottom is the valve selecting whether the washing machine is fed wirh water or not. On top position valve is closed.
Top one for maximum overdrive
