You can help identify a woman whose body was recovered from the South-West coast of Scotland in November 2006. She may have been missing, or you may have lost contact with her on or around Spring 2006.

Whilst she was found on Port Logan beach, it is believed she may have lived in, spent time in, or travelled from Ireland. It is likely she was in the water for up to 6 months and so would have gone missing in the late Spring/Summer of 2006. Do you know anyone whom you lost contact with, or who may have gone missing around this time and matches the description in the photo on the link: [https://locate.international/port-logan-woman-appeal/](https://locate.international/port-logan-woman-appeal/)?

If you have any information you feel could be useful, please comment or click on the SHARE INFORMATION button on the web link.

This woman is being referred to as Port Logan Woman for the sake of the appeal, but in life would have had her own name and we want to return this to her.

  1. Terribly sad case, I remember reading about in the paper, to think so little is known about someone who only died less than 20 years ago. Sadly I have no information.

  2. I read about this a while back and as someone who does a lot of research into missing people, this has me stumped. There’s no missing person who fits her description in that timeframe in the country. I’d also liked to know if she was in the water 6 months how they managed to get such a clear reconstruction.
