Canadian visiting Chania for the first time. Have loved traditional Greek music since I was little, saw that TO XANI had live music every night which was one of my dreams to see, growing up. These two did not disappoint! Got the last 2 seater at the restaurant right in front of them and watched them for an hour and a half. Phenomenal duo! Just wish I knew what the songs were that they played!

Just Local Musicians hired by the owner of the restaurant “taverna” to play bouzouki (traditional greek instrument) and entertain customers.
Hm it’s not just one tune. It seems that it’s a potpourri of melodies. The music style sounds like post rebetico. It’s a bit faster and a bit happier than the old school rebetico. Try searching for Fragosyriani to get you started. It’s a very classic song of the genre
