They all have to go, if the Tories love this country as much as they pretend, they would not hold the country hostage with another leadership election. Call a general election, go into opposition and regroup.
Falling in line with Sturgeon? I thought he’d ruled out working with the SNP. 😛
Still, good so see. The Tories need to be made to answer for their incompetence .
We need a VONC. I know the Tories will back their own and nothing will change but it just puts them all on the hook for this winter.
So let me get this right. Truss’ Government have somehow managed to wreck the economy in less than 2 weeks of being in power?
Truss legacy – bury the Queen and bury the UK in her first 2 weeks on the job.
They won’t go before they vote in the 10% pay rise, you know, because MP’s salary isn’t high enough already
Parliament 100% should be recalled, its so irresponsible with what is going on for them to not be in Parliament

It’s astonishing how little time has actually been spent in parliament during this chaotic month.
The house returned on the 5th of Sep from summer, but then parliament went into 12 days of mourning with QE2 until the 21/22 of Sep. The house then went into recess again on the 23rd for party conferences.
That leaves about 5 days of parliament since truss entered office.

She just needed to come in, not do anything too drastic other than help people with their bills and not just by giving us loans. Why they decided to do these massive tax changes almost immediately without sitting down for a while first is crazy to me, especially when the biggest cuts are directly for the rich tax bracket.
I don’t get how a change in leader can have such a drastic change in policy either. Like Truss was always saying how Johnson was doing a good job, the best given the circumstances, and not mentioning he should change up all the taxes like this. So why is it then that right after shes all about how we need to make this big changes? That goes right against her saying Johnson was doing all the right moves(when he wasn’t planning these tax changes).
We are due another election now but it won’t happen, especially since almost half of conservative MPs will lose their jobs. We’re not getting one in the next few months at least. I’m hoping Lib Dems are holding a lot of big thought out policies back for when an election happens instead of announcing them now and being forgotten about. Labour wont change the voting system themselves, we need a coalition with lib dems to force them. Even then a load of labour MPs wont agree but hopefully 50 SNP and 30 Lib Dems(and the token 1 Green) will cover the shortfall.
Liz Truss must be the worst/most incompetent PM of all time. I mean, I know we said the same about Johnson, but it is actually going from bad to worse.
Truss doesn’t even seem like leadership material, she’s barely suited to a managerial role in a shoe shop. The only professional setting I can actually picture her in is behind the desk in a DHSS office.
If it’s true that she and Kwasi have had some kind of affair in the past, then that is even worse, because it makes it look like she has promoted an ex-boyfriend on that basis alone, and is blind to his incompetence.
But at the end of the day, neither of these two are suited to the Great Offices of State. Johnson was bad enough, but this pair are actually embarrassing us internationally. The French must be loving it.
And don’t get me started about Ukraine. Truss is not a suitable person at this point in history.
Winter of Discontent + Black Wednesday Speedrun (any %) (WR)
This may be controversial, but I don’t think Liz should go. Not because she is a good leader, but because the country needs some stability for a time. Rapid changes of prime minister are not good at all.
The Tories are the biggest shitshow I have ever witnessed
Feels like Starmer is the only one actually turning up to work. Where’s Liz?
How would the markets react to another leadership battle or an election? Happy they’ve gone or worried at more uncertainty?

Getting the tories out should be everyone’s goal, just look at what they’ve done to this country over the last decade or so 😔
I think it’s about time we had a general election. I wouldn’t mind seeing what the LibDems come up with
They don’t fucking get it, the entire Tory party has to go.
Kwasi and Liz have secured a life of luxury for themselves for the rest of their lives. We know they will be handsomely rewarded for this sabotage.
We really need to understand how basic a “mistake” it is to try and add money to the economy during inflation.
Meanwhile Boris is guffawing in his beer.
What an absolute epic, shit-show.
I think to save the UK economy. The UK should create some sort group that consists of many different countries. Maybe with some countries nearby.
Is there anything stopping all other parties from taking their seats in parliament with the Tories absent in a form of silent protest over this? It could easily be framed as a “We’re here. Where are you?” moment to show that all other parties are dedicated to fixing this mess while the Tories continue to stay away. It won’t fi anything but it sends a strong message.
They all have to go .all parties . What we got hasn’t worked for years . A bunch of hooligans shouting and jeering at each other from opposite sides of a room . All while they ride the gravy train .
Even the Tories need to admit she needs to go immediately, the further damage sure could do is not worth thinking about. The further she is away from everything the better. I can’t even honestly say an election would be good right now because it’s in such a delicate state
The conspiracy nut in me wonders if this is a way to bomb liz and push sunak
The British love an underdog coming through and beating the odds but even more we love to watch the arrogant fall.
What an utter shit show she’s provided after swaggering about like a right show pony. At least there’s some enjoyment to be found in that.
The tories need to go for the good of the country.
If they won’t quit on their own then they need to be forced.
You grow up and wake up if you think British politics is working in the interests of the people .
