Hi, I am a full time employee and I get 25 days of holidays per year.Unfortunately I couldn’t take my vacation last year and hence around 20 days got added to this years holidays. So for 2022 I had 45 days of holidays. This year I took 18 holidays (In May) and the remaining is 28.
Now I was told that any holiday which got carried over and not taken till 1.04 of next year will expire.I am left with only 7 and have lost 20 holidays!!!I want to know is this the law that the holiday expire the next year?I read this article which says one has 3 years of time, but not sure if this applies to me.
Was anyone in similar situation ? Any pointers/help which can use to discuss with my employer ?

It’s company policy. Where I work now, you have until June. Where I used to work, it was April.
When you say you “couldn’t take your vacation”, what do you mean? Did your employer prevent you from using your vacation days last year?
You haven’t lost anything. Your employer told you that you must take them soon or they will expire. That’s his duty and now you should plan when to take the days. So make a plan for all days and tell your employer the dates
Done.
