Men så finns det typ bara 10 lägenheter i Kiruna också?
While this is skewed as most of the single room apartments offered over the last 2 years have been Senior homes, the housing situation is more than insane in Kiruna. (Also kinda crazy that the only available single rooms are for the elderly)
The mine is booming attracting lots of workers and the town hasn’t been building enough houses whilst they’ve been demolishing them instead due to subsidence from the mine works under the town.
It’s pretty much impossible for the students living here to get housing. Some have been stuck in the youth hostel. The uni can’t build it’s own halls either as it’s a public university and can’t own the property.

Det var inte så länge sedan som de betalade folk för att flytta till Kiruna då det saknades arbetskraft.

Jag hade tur. Min lägenhet som är på 50 kvadratmeter är 10 minuter från Åre kostar 3500kr/månad, el, Wi-Fi och parkering. Bastu finns i källaren där jag tvättar kläderna.

Lol man får lite perspektiv när man vet vad lägenheter hyrs ut för i Stockholm där jag är bosatt. 30kvm kan vara allt från 7-12tk/mån
Surely more regulation and rent control will mean more apartments will be built. Never mind the fact that the rest of the world has solved queues by allowing the free market to do its thing.
Maybe Sweden will figure that out a few decades from now.

Blev inte direkt bättre av att ett elevhem revs (tror jag) och det andra är nu ett entreprenörersboende. Till exempel Rymdgymnasiet skriker efter boenden till deras elever.
Dyrt var det också. 5k för 36m² låter som ett sjukt pris om inte typ el o andra saker ingår.
Min lägenhet på 69.4 m² kostar 4200 i månaden med varmvatten och värme upp till en viss mängd som ingår i hyran.
Får även billigare hyra om jag inte använder upp mycket varmvatten.

Lol, jag betalar 6 lax för en stor 2a på nästan 60 kvadrat i ett bra område typ 15 min från stan i norra Stockholm.

It’s the same everywhere nowadays. Especially up north because they have wanted people to move up there for many years, but not been prepared for it with housing. They’ve never been interested in building apartments. Until now.
