In just over 10 years’ time: “We didn’t bailout the concrete companies”

  1. It was fairly clear that every party accross the board understood tax payers would pay for the redress

I’m sorry you missed that memo

  2. So we’ve bailed out Quinn, the banks and now the producers of dodgy concrete. Not one of them has had any legal remedy applied to them and they all gotten on with their lives at the expense of the plebs who paid the price.

Did I miss anyone or anything in my list?

  3. They put a 10% increase on all concrete products from April 2023. No coincidence that’s landing at the same time as the redress scheme is rolling out.

“Concrete customers pay for concrete redress. Great idea minister”

Middle of a housing crisis and the cunts put 10% on the price of concrete. Wonders will never cease…

  4. What I don’t understand is why the manufacturer / suppliers aren’t sued for the costs. I appreciate it won’t cover even a tiny fraction of the final cost but they should held liable. They have insurance, that should be drawn down upon.

Maybe it would take 10 years to get that conclusion but at least demonstrate that companies will be held liable rather than having the taxpayer bend over again.
