Won’t somebody think about the poor multi-billion euro companies. How would they ever afford it?

The Green Party are fucking clowns
That article is a mess.
> Hard-pressed households will not even get to benefit from its removal now.
> While scrapping it will save them €40 a year, the energy regulator last week increased network charges for all electricity customers, adding €41 to a domestic bill and swallowing up the saving.
A €40 saving is still a €40 saving. Even if other charges had been increased. Bills being €41 higher is better than them being €81 higher.
>While scrapping it will save them €40 a year, the energy regulator last week increased network charges for all electricity customers, adding €41 to a domestic bill and swallowing up the saving.
How Ireland works folks.
Yeah, it was Eamon & FF that did it back in the day too – history repeating etc.:
>Cabinet papers released under the Freedom of Information Act show the coalition penalised domestic consumers by favouring cost-cutting measures to support some of the biggest multinationals in Ireland.
>The documents show that in July 2009, Eamon Ryan, the then communications, energy, and natural resources minister, sought government approval for “the permanent rebalancing from October 1, 2010, of network tariffs towards large energy users to be paid for by higher prices to domestic consumers”.
This didn’t happen, the government subsidised big business from the public purse so it’s hardly the same.
Hopefully people realise the greens are a fucking waste
Why do you think this corporate fascist government is so busy “fixing” the crisis with tax payer funded electricity credits? Corporations aren’t going to chip in to pay taxes to fund that credit. That is all on your future income. You’re essentially being forced into a reverse loan to fund a billion euro profit scheme for Electric Ireland.
