It’s not an insult in Greece. It never was and we use it a lot. He probably confused us with another country or he read it on a wrong meme?
Thumbs up is not an insult in Greece. Holding your palm towards someone is an insult.
I can confirm that 👍 is not an insult and never was not sure where this person is getting his information from
Totally not an insult
👍
It is not an insult by any means
🖐
Thumbs up 👍 is not an insult. We use it the same way as every other western country. The only insults are the middle finger 🖕 and opening your palm in front of someone’s face 🖐️. In Greece it’s called μούντζα and it’s used as a way to ridicule someone’s intelligence. If you want to show the number 5 with your hand, then don’t point with your palm but with the back of your hand.
I see everyone keeps the secret perfectly 🤣

False. I’ve heard this a couple times from Americans, and I have no idea where the F they got it from.
