Let’s hope we vote the Tories in again….this Island is overcrowded as it is.
Let’s see if they do a whip round in downtown Mogadishu and buy some butter and rolls for old Blighty.
Found a dolmio pasta sauce 25portions 2.25kg bottle…. For £10 on Amazon
Definitely a bargain. Compared to the £2.90 for a jar in Tesco express….
And what about the increased food costs from the year before? I’m pretty sure that was high too
Scrolling back through my receipts in the lidl app, this time last year I paid:
£1.79 for a block of Cheddar compared to £2.49 today.
I paid £1.48 for a pizza which now costs £2.19.
And £1.49 for a block of butter which now costs £1.99.
Food has definitely gone up more than 10%
> Durum wheat prices have continued to fluctuate steadily upwards since July 2021, despite the high levels that already characterized 2020 compared to historical averages in recent years. Since July, prices have been subject to very strong inflationary pressures **increasing up to +65% for the international product**, which exceeded 550 €/tonne (source Italmopa Set 2021), and +100% for the national product, which reached 540 €/tonne
We need to go shopping, and just had the depressing realisation, that’s its going to cost me a fucking TENNER just for a jar or coffee amd tub of margarine…
No downside and considerable upside. That’s what D. Davies said.
He was speaking about prices, not Brexit.
Give the man a medal.
Nothing to do with Tories. Canada is the same as we have a liberal government.

Depends what you buy of course, some things up a lot more than others. Have a look here https://www.trolley.co.uk/grocery-price-index/
Congratulations to the tory ans brexit voters, you have got what you voted for.
Note this isn’t entirely a UK issue but certainly is compounded by what’s going on here.
