  3. We could probably change ‘could finish NHS’ to ‘will be designed to finish NHS’ and not be far from the truth.

    The UK is being asset stripped.

  5. That’s kinda the whole point, and now with the tanked pound, the American healthcare companies can buy it up on the cheap.

    Honestly, the Tories should get wiped out next election. I don’t know how but unless you are earning over £150k you shouldn’t be voting Tory.

    Right before our eyes they are beginning to tank the economy to such an extent that the only way to get out of it is to sell off the NHS to insurers and American pharmaceutical corporations.

  8. Not surprising really. The NHS has been struggling for years with budget cuts, police services are stretched to breaking point in the big cities, schools are underfunded and teachers are paid poorly considering most jobs require an expensive MA or Msc these days, mental health services and social work is a joke, the benefits system is being aligned with the one in the US (read: shaite) for the people who really need it and public sector wages are set so low that people who can go private instead, leaving mostly under qualified and low quality personnel to fill the ranks. Add rising numbers of youth not getting tertiary education, homelessness and hundreds of thousands added to the “living below the poverty line” annually and, well, it doesn’t take much to see that cutting another 45bn in taxes from the budget is madness.

  9. So before he was knighted he was Mr bean? I’m not sure I would trust him with a turkey let alone the nation’s finances…. Although the way things are he might be the best we have

  10. Hope all the people who voted Tory in the Red Wall constituencies feel very proud of themselves when they only get healthcare through their job, but they end up having to take out a second mortgage to cover the first few thousand quid that we all still have to pay.

    The luckier unemployed might be able to get a job at the medical insurance companies where no doubt business will be booming, where their boss will be a former NHS manager who gives out bonuses to the staff members who manage to avoid paying out the most claims.

  12. I really hope that people ignore the Daily Mail hit jobs on Kier Starmer eating a bacon sandwich or whatever nonsense they publish during the next election and that the conservatives lose power for more than a generation.

    No one should ever be able to say that conservatives are economically prudent with a straight face again. This cannot be forgotten. They need to lose and lose badly.

  15. That’s been the Tories intentions all along, if it’s a necessity, they want to get there filthy thieving hands on it. They can’t do business the honest way, they want necessities, so that they have a hold over you and to control you, just for there own gratification. They don’t need it, but they want it, purely for the control and keep people in poverty.

  17. I’ve spent years telling Tory supporters that this was their plan all along and they always condescendingly dismissed it as a lefty conspiracy theory.

  18. It’ll go bit by bit.

    First it’ll be ‘only British born can use it’, then ‘Only pensioners can use it’ and racists and/or OAPs vote Tory anyway.

    They won’t notice what’s happening before it’s too late and then it’s gone for everyone.
