Erdogan signals green light for Finland but not Sweden: “Finland is not a country where terrorists are roaming freely unlike Sweden. If NATO make a decision that is in favor of Finland, of course we will do everything that we are required to.”

  1. If Sweden was honest, they’d rely on the alliances they made. The terrorist PKK will and can protect them from Russian nukes. 👍 Go Sweden

  2. Ah yes, of course, they’ll be stopped by the famously formidable border controls between Sweden and Finland….

Accepting the basis of his argument actively makes it untrue, and in a way, that kind of callous disregard for logic is kind of impressive.

  3. A more accurate translation of his statement would be “We had a brief talk with [Marin] but it was good. I told her that our relations with Finland are different in nature than those with Sweden. Because Finland isn’t a place where terror runs rampant, but Sweden is. So at this point NATO needs to make a decision regarding Finland and Sweden. If NATO makes a decision in support of Finland, we too will do everything that we can about that.”

  4. Allowing Kurds to protest and be part of parlament is not supporting terrorism. Not allowing Kurds to do these things would be totalitarinism. As a swede I can honestly say, that I’d rather not join Nato than to shame Sweden by putting restrictions on people just based on ethnicity.
