When it comes to vehicles vs pedestrians, who has the right of way doesn’t really matter. If you hit a pedestrian, you’re considered to be in the wrong usually.
Can’t run the fuckers over even if they’re in the wrong, I think is the rule.
Car technically has right of way, but if pedestrian is in the road then the car obviously has to stop/proceed with caution.
Pretty much the same except for the “pedestrian waiting to cross” stuff.
Pedestrians always have right of way. Now look at the first picture. ALWAYS give way to pedestrians. You sit in a nice, cozy car. Just be mindful
At junctions without a pedestrian crossing or a traffic signal, pedestrians have the right of way:
> [(2) A driver approaching a road junction shall yield the right of way to another vehicle which has commenced to turn or cross at the junction in accordance with these bye-laws, **and to a pedestrian who has commenced to cross at the junction in accordance with these bye-laws**.](https://www.irishstatutebook.ie/eli/1964/si/294/made/en/print)
At a junction that is controlled by a traffic signal, though, pedestrians are required to obey the signal, i.e. you can’t cross on a red light:
> (2) At a road junction where traffic is controlled either by traffic lights or by a pointsman, a pedestrian shall cross the roadway only when traffic going in the direction in which the pedestrian intends to cross is permitted (by the lights or pointsman) to proceed, and shall yield the right of way to any traffic turning in front of the pedestrian.

In the ‘Highway Code’ or the ‘rules of the road’?
