YouTube algorithm has sent me down a rabbit hole. I’m curious for opinions and information on this.

  1. It’s an amazing thing. During easter, we put this on a platter with a few more things and eat it together. It’s a godsend and you can eat endless amounts. Other ingredients of the “Easter platter” include (none of these are really mandatory, you can put it together however you like) – (smoked/boiled) sausage, pickled mangold, hardboiled eggs, some form of smoked meat pork (neck, thigh, take your pick) and horseradish dip. There is also one more ingredient which is called syrek and it’s basically a mash of eggs, meat, bread and spices baked on a tray into sort of cake/bread salty mix.   2. Easter dishes are great in Slovakia. That egg cheese is an easy thing to do and you do it in bulk so it will last.

    Btw you can make sweet variant of this cheese (with sugar and vanilla). I personally prefer it this way.
