Icelanders don’t buy this. This looks like chocolate that’s purposefully repackaged to sell at tourist shops at eye watering markup. In other words scam, tourist trap, insert your own adjectives here.
You may be able to find a producer somewhere around the ingredients list. If you send us a picture of the other side we might be able to help.
If you look at the manufacturer does it say Nói Síríus?
This looks like tourist chocolate. I have no idea what this is.
You can buy this at Whole Foods if you are US based.
There are also a few other smaller local chocolate makers, like omnom ( https://omnomchocolate.com/ ) and some other I can’t remember the name of, if you feel adventurous.
Ég myndi giska á Freyju súkkulaði.
Kötturinn á myndinni er ekki ósvipaður Freyju kettinum.Auk þess er Freyja þekkt fyrir svona skrautlegar umbúðir.
been to iceland 2015 and nearly ate my self to death on sirius chocolate.
Nammi.is has all kinds of Icelandic foods and ship to the US. You could check there
If you happen to be American, it could be that you just prefer non-American chocolate. In the US chocolate manufacturers often include an acid to give a tang that appeals to historic taste. This developed when Hershey’s used a process for shelf-stabilization that slightly soured the milk. So it might be good to look into just non-US chocolate.
Seen so many videos where Americans are tasting chocolate from Europe and then they taste the American made one’s again and they can’t believe the difference
