[1200×789] “Polack”. A reconstructed sculpture from the Swedish warship Vasa (1628) depicting a Polish nobleman in a submissive and humiliating position under a table. This was placed in full view of the crew latrines, to remind the sailors what they should think of their enemy.

  1. Ah, Vasa. Ship so big and overdesigned that it sunk under its own weight right after leaving port.
