They’re quite expensive online & I don’t want to deal with the import taxes, I’ve only found shorter bars so far from shops like Hreysti. Is there anywhere else I could look for Bars that tall?

Would it be cheaper to ask a local metalworker to make me one? (I’m worried about quality)

Einn vinur minn lét smíða slá til að setja innan á dyrakarm.
Fékk það hjá einhveru fyrirtæki sem dufthúðar (plasthúðar) járn.
Það reyndist vel.
I would recommend taking this picture to a metal workshop and have them make you an offer on building it then explain what your requirements are regarding quality and get a price most metal workshops make quality products if you explain your requirements its a commonly made mistake that metalworkers can read minds as to what the customer is wanting. After you get a price compare it to buying it online with taxes and proper fees (my experience regarding sport equipment shops in Iceland is they will fuck you on the price, for example in 2018 you could buy a home gym station in Costco for under 60 k ISK and at the same time store´ s that deal that kind of equipment were charging about 150 to 250 k ISK for a simular product)
