Broke the news to the Irish in-laws that we’re planning a move to Denmark and thought I’d lighten the mood with pastry. It did not go well. I don’t know if it’s because she’s sad that we’re leaving or that the pastries were ugly, but my mother in law was not happy.

Any suggestions on what to bake next?

  1. I would eat them in an instant.
Next, you should bake rye bread. That will either be a complete hit or miss.

    Good luck loving to Denmark!

  2. They look absolutely delicious!

You could “bake” another traditional Danish pastry – the romkugle. It is originally made from the left overs from the bakery so that they could be sold the next day. They are so easy to make and taste good too

  3. I’ve worked in a bakery for around 3 years in total, but I still have no clue how to bake them. Well done.

  4. Fastelavnsboller, kærnemælkshorn, citronmåne, rugbrødslagkage or kringle! 😁

The tebirkes look nice! Did you like them?
