Nobody asked, but the faded text at the top is the 1938 Finnish translation of Ephesians 6:2-3: “Honour thy father and mother; […] That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”
I have the same Perheraamattu. I’m not religious in any sense, but it’s one of my fav possessions just for the Gustave Doré art and the smell of old ink.
