Humble hunter offers valuable insights on predators debate: “If Mexicans can stay here, why not wolves and lynxes as well?»

From the comments on the latest episode of PAJU. I’ve seen many arguments for and against large predators in the Swiss mountains, but comparing them with immigrants has to be the most outlandish idea yet. Is it a failed and surprisingly degrading attempt at virtue signalling? Is it a xenophobic theory? I’m at a loss.
Edit – The out-of-context comment is funny, but it’s not nearly as bad as it seems. I’ve been informed the hunter refers to his own story, since his grandfather was Mexican.

The sentiment this person seems to be trying to express is one of more respect and tolerance. The way they are expressing that doesn’t sound great out of context, but I don’t think we need to hang people who are trying to say something nice for saying it in a bad way. There’s enough people out there who say mean shit on purpose.
